EVELYN BLANCK APPOINTED BY GOVERNOR TO EARLY CHILDHOOD ADVISORY COUNCIL

Evelyn Blanck¸ Associate Executive Director of New York Center for Child Development, was recently appointed by Governor David Patterson to serve on the New York State Early Childhood Advisory Council.

Comprised of early childhood experts from around the state, the council advises the state Children’s Cabinet on issues of importance to children in New York. It particularly strives to develop a comprehensive system of support and services for young children and their families.

New York Center has a strong commitment to improving the delivery of services to children under the age of 5 across all child serving systems and to strengthen the delivery of services by supporting not only individual children and families, but by supporting the institutions that serve them through policy reform, workforce development and training, and through the interface with academic institutions.
